Of course, I have to start out with a disclaimer like that. I live in America with 5% of the world’s population but 25% of the world’s lawyers.
Welcome. No suits or ties here!.. unless you want to wear them.
Entrepreneurs are the lifeblood of any economy. Whether you have started a company or are just thinking about it, you have come to the right place. Lots of online communities claim to be unique, but I am sure you will find that word applies here.
I don’t know what is the collective noun for a group of entrepreneurs. A briefcase of entrepreneurs perhaps? Regardless of what we are called, here you will find a sanctuary of helping-hands, inspiring people, and the sharing of ideas without fear of negativity. This is a community for entrepreneurs and investors of all types including crafts, art, and music as well as commerce.
We have one common aim and that is to succeed in our ventures while at the same time also enjoying a fulfilling, balanced life. This course is not just a rehash of Secrets to a Succesful Start-up because I don’t believe it is possible to grow a company without also growing oneself.
Balancing business and life growth
I don’t believe it is possible to grow a successful business without successfully growing oneself. To me, a business is simply a physical expression of who we are as a character. If you think small you produce a mom and pop corner store or simple online marketplace. If you think big you produce an Amazon killer. If you live in fear you fail to adapt and get crushed by new technology. If you are self-confident and a quick decision-maker you can anticipate challenges before they arrive and see opportunities that no one else envisages.
For the sole proprietor this is an unprecedented time. Financial independence has never been more attainable. To succeed in this new industrial revolution of technology and automation, however, you need a different mentality to manage a new business model.
Therefore, in this course you will find many techniques designed to improve your natural ability to make good decisions by developing intuition and connectivity with each other and the universe. Sounds very new age, but it is all pragmatic, practical and absolutely essential for this new technological age in which practical magic is possible.
To be all you can be, and to have a company that can be all it can be, you must work on both the external and internal concepts. You must structure the business in the right way to give it the best chance of survival and then success. You must also work on your mentality to be sure you are up to commanding your ship in any circumstance and managing vendors rather than people.
Structure of course aids attention spans
In the book Brain Rules by John Medina, the author, a development molecular biologist ,introduces the reader to the concept of different types of memory and how it relates to learning concepts. He clearly demonstrates that we all struggle to pay attention to anything for more then 10 minutes. At that point our attention plummets unless it is re-stimulated by something emotional but relevant to the topic. Wed can experience that when watching any movie. A successful movie script creates instant attention grabbers and then just as the attention of the watcher starts to fade it has an unexpected plot twist exactly on the ten minute mark. For that reason, the structure of this course is intended to deliver information and concepts in digestible bite-size pieces and with multi media style that appeals more to our brains and aids retention.
In the lengthier activities you’ll see the occasional picture or joke cartoon used to break up the attention. These are really more like bookmarks. When you see them it may be time to take a quick break, think about what you just watched or read and then return a few minutes later. That way your brain will always be at peak capacity, something we will also work on in this course.
Content of course evolves to aid learning
Hermann Ebbinghaus, a German brain researcher proved that people usually forget 90 percent of what they learn in a class within 30 days, and the majority of this forgetting process usually occurs within the first few hours after class. Ebbinghaus showed that one can increase the life span of a memory by repeating the information in timed intervals. For that reason, and to encourage you to return often:
I regularly update this course with additional content and new inspiring data from science or metaphysics. When you have completed the course, please make sure to check in regularly for the fresh content and inspiring discussions. Later on, we discuss the importance of discipline and scheduling to improve productivity and eliminate burnout. I suggest you schedule (don’t just say you’ll do it but schedule it on the calendar) a re-do of this course every 3 months for the first year.
Discussion opportunity after every activity.
This is a multi-media content course, but it is also a forum for like-minded people to share experiences and ideas. It is a safe haven, protected from outside criticism or negative influences. You’ll certainly not see any sensational media headlines here and everything you share is valued. Cold, hard facts and an alternative mentality are the order of the day.
Please join in the chatter at the end of every activity. You never know how important something you say might be to someone passing through now or in the future. I believe the discussion sections are as important to the content, especially when it comes to sharing tips and magical experiences.
